JANUARY - 202119MANUFACTURINGTECHNOLOGYINSIGHTSA similar instance substantiating VID's value proposition of delivering environment-friendly firefighting solutions is its project with Singapore's Land Transport Authorities. The client was looking to retrofit a firefighting system but hit a roadblock, as the draining system capacity was only for rainwater and not sprinkler water. VID Fire-Kill's low-pressure watermist tunnel fire protection system was identified as the perfect fit, owing to the ability to deliver excellent firefighting performance and the merit of consuming 60 percent lesser water than a conventional sprinkler solution.VID's project of installing low-pressure watermist solutions in France's care homes also evidences its significance. As per France's new guidelines, all care homes should have a firefighting system installed; but, retrofitting sprinkler systems proved to be a cumbersome task due to having reduced water supply across certain sites. Consequently, VID's solutions were installed as they were less invasive during installation while dousing fires with the amount of water available onsite.Building upon such achievements, the company will enhance its solutions to cater to the unique and changing requirements of its clientele. To that end, the company is looking to strengthen its technology and establish a strong foothold as an environment-friendly firefighting alternative to the sprinkler, chemical, and inert gas industries. VID's 25 years of experience in R&D, manufacturing, and sales of watermist solutions have been critical in establishing itself as a major player in the fire protection industry
