A closed network connects the factory and the head office, a demilitarized segment (DMZ) is set up between the head office and the factory, and an OPC UA server for operation monitoring is set up on the DMZ. The OPC UA client in the factory notifies the OPC UA server in the DMZ of information such as temperature and humidity along with actual performance and the number of defects. From the head office, the OPC UA client, UaMonitor, is used to check the environment, collect performance data, and create reports and forms from Excel.OPC UA is used for communication, and DMZ is placed between bases. Even if the OPC UA server in DMZ is damaged, it is possible to prevent damage to the head office and factory network using DMZ as a stepping stone.
