Jerod Young, COOAlongside manufacturing precision-machined components, Cimtech lends its services and capabilities in precision CNC milling, turning, small fabrication, assembly, welding, tube bending, and several other processes to a variety of industries ranging from the rail, automotive to medical and hospitality. Cimtech has touched another milestone through its recent acquisition of two companies, expanding its capabilities in precision machining by adding wire EDM, sinker EDM, stamping, 3D programming and large fabrication to their services portfolio.
As a solution-finding partner to its customers and vendors, Cimtech adopts a transparent approach by working collaboratively with their clients to ensure that everyone is kept in the communication loop. Young credits Cimtech’s success to its seasoned workforce that has been with the company for an average tenure of 20 years. Their expert team comprises engineers, machinists, and fabricators proficient in design and estimation that solve their customer’s challenges on a day-to-day basis.

Our mission has always been to ensure the delivery of top-tier components to our customers on time and effectively meet their manufacturing requirements
But according to Young, what makes Cimtech a game-changer in the industry is its ability to maintain strong partnerships with its customers by working with them and supporting them to find the best solution that meets their requirements. With several success stories to their credit, Young recalls a case where Cimtech supplied cam rollers for a company in the material handling industry. Earlier, Cimtech followed a process where they did the manufacturing and assembling functions in-house for the client. As a cost-effective measure, Cimtech’s think tanks set out to revamp the conventional processes and mapped out a process for heat treatment, machining the inside of the cam, and making it into the form that is needed to fit the bearings. The team succeeded in cutting out several other functions, which brought in cost efficiency.
With two acquisitions in tow, the company currently runs its operations from two different facilities. In an effort to consolidate their machining capabilities, the company has moved their machining operations to its headquarters located in Southern Indiana. Upcoming expansion plans include building a new facility in New Albany, to house large fabrication in the next 18 months.
