Jenny Barboza sees logistics as the engine behind meaningful change. In her 25-year journey at Bombardier, from Logistics Line Agent to Director of Fabrication/Subs & Major Structure Inload, she’s blended deep operational know-how with strategic vision, leading major initiatives and cross-functional teams with empathy, clarity and a steady focus on building resilient systems that drive people, ideas, and progress forward.
Logistics Leadership Built to Grow
Jenny Barboza has dedicated over two decades to shaping and optimizing the intricate logistics and fabrication systems that strengthened Bombardier’s aircraft production. As Director of Fabrication/Subs and Major Structure Inload, she plays a vital role in driving efficiency, reliability and innovation across the organization’s manufacturing ecosystem. From raw materials to major structural components, Barboza oversees the flow and transformation of parts that become some of the world’s most recognized aircraft.
Her leadership goes far beyond the production floor. She is deeply engaged in aligning infrastructure, logistics, and strategic planning to keep Bombardier’s supply chain agile and futureready. Her tenure reflects a unique blend of operational excellence and forward-looking vision and guiding projects that demand both a tactical eye and big-picture clarity.
A Career Shaped by Curiosity and Capability
Started with Bombardier in 2000 as a Logistic Line Agent, where she learned the rhythms of supply chains firsthand. Over time, she moved into procurement and cost estimation roles, mastering the work from supplier coordination to financial forecasting and strategic inventory management. As a Cost Estimator, she built tools for financial analysis, established budgets, and worked closely with finance teams to reduce overhead and improve forecasting accuracy.
“Her journey is a reminder that behind every great system is a leader who sees the details, understands the dynamics, and never forgets the people who make it all possible”
Her versatility allowed her to quickly grow into logistics leadership roles where timing, accuracy, and quality are nonnegotiable, including positions as Logistics Manager for the A220 program and for Core Supply and Assembly teams. She spearheaded complex, cross-functional initiatives, such as SAP deployments and assembly line transfers, establishing governance frameworks and cost models that supported seamless transitions and improved performance. In her current role, she oversees the integration of essential structures into the aircraft manufacturing process, where timing, accuracy and quality are non-negotiable.
A Leader Grounded in People and Purpose
At Bombardier, Barboza’s approach to leadership is precise, collaborative and grounded in the belief that systems are only as strong as the people and processes behind them. She brings a unique ability to translate technical constraints into strategic opportunities—working closely with engineering, production, and logistics to build smarter, more resilient operations.
Colleagues describe her as someone who brings calm to complexity and structure to fast-paced environments. She leads by example, empowers her teams and keeps the focus on meaningful progress, whether solving a logistics challenge or managing a strategic project.
Building a Mission That Reaches the Sky
Throughout her 25-year career at Bombardier, Barboza has proven herself as someone who understands the mechanics of logistics and the dynamics of large-scale change. The company has built some of the most advanced aircraft in the world and it is actively shaping the future of sustainable aviation. Through its Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) commitments and the use of Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF) through the Book and Claim system, Bombardier continues to lead with both purpose and performance.
In this high-stakes, high-standards environment, Barboza has built a legacy rooted in reliability, resilience, and respect. Her journey is a reminder that behind every great system is a leader who sees the details, understands the dynamics and never forgets the people who make it all possible.
As the aerospace industry continues to evolve, Barboza remains grounded by her values and driven by the thrill of finding smarter ways to move forward. Because for her, logistics isn’t just about what moves—it’s about what matters.
