The expertise behind McAdoo Panel Solutions was built long before it was founded. Over nearly two decades, James McAdoo, CEO of McAdoo Panel Solutions, worked across panel manufacturing, field installation, commissioning and controls engineering, gaining firsthand insight into how control panels performed beyond the shop floor.

That experience exposed a recurring challenge. Panels that looked well designed often proved difficult to install and maintain because little thought had been given to the end user. Determined to change that, James and his wife, Myranda Wolfe, founded McAdoo Panel Solutions in 2021. What began as a garage operation quickly grew through repeat business into a rapidly expanding UL-certified panel manufacturer built on technical expertise, customer trust and an unwavering focus on end-user usability.

“Every control panel McAdoo Panel Solutions builds is designed with the end user in mind,” says Wolfe, chief operating financial officer.

Every detail, from component placement and wire sizing to documentation, is carefully planned before production begins. Through comprehensive training, every technician is encouraged to think like a field installer, asking how each decision can simplify installation, servicing and maintenance. The result is a culture where craftsmanship and customer care go hand in hand.

That end-user perspective reflects the broader philosophy that defines McAdoo Panel Solutions. At its core is a commitment to putting the customer first. Rather than measuring success by the number of panels shipped, the company measures it by the number of customers who return.

That attention to detail continues through fabrication and testing. Every panel undergoes wire pull testing, short-circuit verification and point-to-point inspections before Factory Acceptance Testing. During FAT, power is applied, inputs and outputs are simulated, and operating parameters are verified to ensure the system performs as intended, minimizing commissioning time and reducing field troubleshooting.

The value of that expertise often extends beyond manufacturing. In one project, a customer supplied a panel design requiring UL certification. During the review, McAdoo Panel Solutions identified components that did not comply with UL requirements. Using its expertise, the team resolved the issues before production began, helping the customer avoid delays while meeting certification requirements.

While functionality always comes first, craftsmanship remains central to the company's identity. For James McAdoo, panel wiring has long been more than a technical skill. Every layout is carefully considered so the finished product is functional, easy to service, and clean, organized and visually refined.

“When a customer opens the panel door, they should immediately recognize the quality of the workmanship behind it,” says McAdoo.

That commitment to quality is reinforced by a close-knit team whose culture reflects the company's beginnings. What started in James and Myranda McAdoo's home garage has grown steadily, with several original team members still playing key roles. As the company expands, experienced technicians are taking on greater responsibilities while mentoring newer employees and preserving the company's culture.

Looking ahead, McAdoo Panel Solutions is investing in its people and capabilities to meet growing demand across the industrial controls sector. With rapid growth in data centers creating new opportunities, the company is expanding production capacity and refining its operations to support larger projects without compromising quality or responsiveness.
