Pamela Dutton, CEOToday, component availability is always key in the supply of cable assemblies, especially where unique (single-sourced/custom) components are involved. This risk can be mitigated by agreeing on preset levels of stock at MCX, Inc., or at a distributor in the supply chain, preferably close to MCX, Inc. to minimize transit time to the factory. The sharing of forecast numbers also plays a key role, and integrating MCX, Inc. into the conversation, as early as possible, allows for the best outcome.
MCX, Inc. prides itself on providing high-quality assemblies delivered on time, and at prices that are competitive to create a strong partnership with its clients. This has resulted in the dock to stock status for MCX, Inc., which allows the client to deploy their resources better, knowing that when the parts arrive, they will be correct and can go straight to the assembly line(s). “Good partnerships require flexibility, good communication, honesty, integrity and the willingness to have difficult conversations when necessary. Thankfully, the ‘difficult conversations’ are few and far between,” states Pamela. “We are able to meld into the client’s environment, whether it’s special packaging, documentation, billing, communication system or other need.”![]()
MCX, Inc. maintains a rapid response team to facilitate the production of samples and engineering builds
MCX, Inc. has multiple years-long relationships with many of its customers, with some dating back nearly thirty years. “It is our mission to give the buyers more time in their day, because if they buy from us, they no longer need to worry about cable assemblies. We deliver on-time over 99.8 percent of the time and notify our customers if we will miss their delivery for any reason with an external quality is 99.87 percent,” mentions Pamela.
MCX, Inc. has been recently awarded AS9100 certification and is pursuing its Cybersecurity Maturity Model Certificate (CMMC) and plan to have that in place by the end of first quarter of 2021. Over the years, the company has developed its own training program based on IPC/WHMA A620D and provide jobs in a HUBzone area. Moving forward, MCX, Inc. will continue its focus on cable and wire assemblies and will look to expand its capabilities by providing value-added assembly services. The company will continue to grow its presence in the Aerospace/Defense market by building on successful transactions and smooth working relationships. MCX, Inc. can quickly expand its footprint in Oregon and the surrounding areas, and when the situation presents, the company can utilize partners overseas to help expand capacity when needed.
