Manufacturing has finally got its ERP.

MonitorZ’s cutting-edge software empowers those directly building the product to buy, build and ship products faster and at lower costs.

Not just another ERP system, MonitorZ is a transformative platform that makes manufacturing simple, efficient and accessible for everyone. The software increases throughput, reduces inventory and minimizes operational expenses by identifying bottlenecks, eliminating waste and optimizing processes.

“Our ERP system is more cost-effective and efficient than existing models, providing better insights and higher performance for manufacturers,” says Dave Medinis, CEO.

Traditional ERP systems cater mainly to administrative staff like accountants and business analysts, who handle data without directly contributing to production. MonitorZ shifts the focus to the manufacturing floor, empowering the people building the products by enabling real-time data collection from the factory floor. The system leverages mobile devices and tablets, eliminating the need for proprietary hardware such as specialized scanners. Real-time data from the factory floor flows directly to built-in AI-powered analytics, producing actionable insights and reports to guide workers and management. There’s no need for extra personnel and no running around with spreadsheets or separate analytics tools. This streamlines the workflow while flattening the organizational structure.

Optimizing Production with Visual Insights

MonitorZ significantly enhances operational efficiency and drives continuous improvement in production processes.

Its philosophy heavily draws from the Ford Production System and incorporates the principles of Edward Deming, Taiichi Ohno of the Toyota Production System, and Eliyahu Goldratt’s Theory of Constraints.

Building on these foundations, MonitorZ developed its concept called ‘Object Velocity’, aimed at speeding up the flow of materials from suppliers to customers. It meticulously tracks each item from its arrival through every stage of the production process until delivery, identifying bottlenecks that slow production. The system presents this critical information in a clear, visual format, highlighting problem areas and successful operations, enabling faster and more effective decision-making to improve efficiency.

Simplicity and Efficiency Powering Growth

A key aspect of MonitorZ’s simplicity lies in its innovative approach to inventory management. Traditional ERP systems typically rely on perpetual inventory models, tracking items through part numbers and ledgers. The issue with that approach is that these systems often fail to accurately reflect the different inventory stages—whether in quality control, on a shelf, in the shop, or being worked on. Merely having an ‘on-hand’ quantity does not provide a comprehensive view of the inventory.

To simplify inventory management, MonitorZ breaks down inventory into its physical components. For instance, a single pallet might contain 10 different part numbers in 10 separate boxes. MonitorZ pre-defines these details before the shipment even arrives. The system sets up QR code labels and has them ready when the inventory is delivered.

With strong supplier collaboration, the supplier can even apply QR codes, streamlining the process.

MonitorZ guarantees precise inventory tracking, allowing any inventory item to be broken down into smaller parts or combined into larger ones.

Users scan the QR codes, which register the transaction and capture a visual image, providing a clear visual record of the inventory. The visual data is available to customer service and order entry teams, providing immediate verification. People trust the system because they can see the actual product with their own eyes.

MonitorZ also automates the process for companies that receive complex items like chemicals, which come with material safety data sheets (MSDS), specifications and certifications. The AI- powered optical character recognition (OCR) technology captures and attaches these documents to the inventory through photos, eliminating manual data entry. The result is a simplified process—no keystrokes, no manual input. Workers point and scan their mobile devices, and the system transforms raw data into useful information.
Numerous customers have transitioned from systems like SAP to MonitorZ, experiencing significantly faster growth and smoother operations. One transition involved a few months of setup and data migration from the client’s previous system. Once the team integrated the foundational data, the client achieved remarkable, verified growth, doubling their growth rate in 120 days.

User-Friendly Experience with Low-Code Flexibility

The key to MonitorZ’s efficiency is not the software tools or the platform, it’s the simplified database model and UI, which deliver deep functionality with minimal complexity. Reinventing manufacturing software isn’t about the technology itself—databases, JavaScript and standard tools like Salesforce or Microsoft are all similar.

“Traditional systems are complicated and designed for people in the office. MonitorZ embraces simplicity and will help you deliver a better product at a lower cost, faster than anyone else,” says Dave Medinis.

While conventional software systems may have over 100,000 tables and require navigating through 16 screens to complete a task, MonitorZ’s streamlined approach uses just a few dozen tables. The design ensures a user-friendly experience with fewer screens and interactions.

After years in stealth mode, MonitorZ is refining the product using real customer feedback. Its feature set is now extremely rich and robust, prompting many customers to prefer MonitorZ over larger brands like SAP. The highly flexible platform offers a low-code/no-code environment, allowing users to extend and integrate it with countless other programs. With a solid customer base, it is ready to start marketing and target larger customers.

The goal is ambitious—to replace SAP.
