At the Association for the Advancement of Automation's Automate Conference and Exhibition, AMT will exhibit smart decanting technology alongside its partner Liberty Reach.
Fremont, CA: "We are excited to unveil this never-before-seen technology which we have developed over the last several years with our partner Liberty Reach. It revolutionizes end of line solutions by efficiently filling any container space in an optimal way. It's a game changer for the warehousing and logistics industry as it can be used to automatically induct thousands of SKUs efficiently into the system at one time." states Craig Salvalaggio, Chief Operating Officer, Applied Manufacturing Technologies.

At Automate 2022, hosted by the Association for Advancing Automation, Applied Manufacturing Technologies (AMT), North America's largest independent automation engineering company supporting warehousing and logistics, robot companies, system integrators, line builders, and users of robotic automation worldwide, will unveil the latest technological breakthrough in robotic depalletizing using artificial intelligence (AI) (A3).
AMT's demonstration at booth #1210 reveals never-before-seen robotic and AI technologies for mixed case palletizing / depalletizing / decanting of numerous cases employing optimized best-fit finding algorithms. Using a FANUC CRX-10iA collaborative robot and a Schmalz FXCB vacuum grasping system, the robotic cell will demonstrate solution planning for de-layering and tote filling with established box and specifications to optimize tote fill and solve the entire layer. The small and lightweight design of the Schmalz FXCB vacuum gripping solution incorporates a vacuum generator, flow resistors, and a digital pressure switch. Partner Liberty Reach's vision software will demonstrate best-fit findings and employ algorithms to optimize the pick solution for overall reductions in cycle time. A cycle that is optimized involves picking various cases to load the tote. If a multi-pick solution is unavailable, the algorithm will choose the next best place for the robot to pick a case.
The Huntington Place Convention Center in Detroit, Michigan, hosted the event. The Automate Conference and Exhibition, held June 6-9, 2022, is North America's largest and most inspiring showcase of automation. On the show floor of the Automate expo, there are over 500 prominent worldwide automation solution providers. The Automate conference features four full days of instructional sessions and eight training tracks for attendees of all interests and skill levels. At the conference, Applied Manufacturing Technologies' Craig Salvalaggio, Chief Operating Officer, and Terry Meister, Controls Manager, will give two presentations.
