A leading North American glovemaker includes superior impact protection technology in a new range of cutting-edge gloves.

FREMONT, CA: Bob Dale Gloves & Imports Ltd. is partnering with Koroyd on a new range of products that will include an innovative repeat impact version of the company's damage mitigation technology.

BDG has been manufacturing and supplying quality gloves to the industry for over 40 years to protect industrial customers against hazards such as the impact on the job site. High-intensity impact or blunt-force trauma to the back of the hand is causing an increased incidence of these injuries. Based on its proven, patented technology, Koroyd, a fast-growing technology business that designs and engineers superior impact protection initially led by aircraft safety research, has produced an innovation for ANSI Level 3 impact products. Koroyd designed a reinforced elastomer that absorbs and redirects impact forces while returning to its original shape for a repeat performance. The two firms are teaming up to provide a new range of innovative safety gloves that focuses on premium backhand protection.

“We could not be more honored and proud to partner with the innovative team at Koroyd to raise the bar for trustworthy, high-quality protective gloves for hard-working employees across a wide variety of industries,” said Bob Dale Gloves President Denis  Dale. “Koroyd is the perfect partner for BDG as we share the same commitment to delivering real solutions and unique value to our customers. We can't wait to reveal these high-tech technologies to our distribution partners in Austin next week.”

A highly designed, softer elastomer formulation with excellent mechanical qualities makes up Koroyd hand protection. Because of the Koroyd reinforcement layer, the Koroyd elastomer is improved. The Koroyd layer not only offers structural support to the elastomer, improving overall performance, but it also redirects energy and assists in force dissipation in a second step not accessible in other protection.

“Partnering with BDG in the industrial safety glove segment is an important next step towards our goal of becoming the world's number one reference for energy absorption in advanced protective applications,” said Koroyd Founder and Managing Director John Lloyd. “We are excited to introduce our new flexible, multiple impact technology with BDG who is devoted to innovation in this segment.”
