“VAS’ products and services couldn’t complement CEI’s product portfolio any better. Joining VAS’ advanced electronic manufacturing capabilities and CEI’s renowned quality and reliability, our U.S. consumers will benefit by having access to a wider range of products, more comprehensive system design and cost reduction. Additionally, we look forward to leveraging Vasantha’s reputation in India to enhance our presence throughout the region,” adds Brower.
VAS will provide CEI with efficient and dependable manufacturing services for electronic components. VAS is an expert in microcontroller-based goods, such as coils, wiring harnesses, and PCB design. With expertise in coil indigenization, the company offers a wide range of coil types, including solenoids, current transformers, micro coils, ferrite transformers, and drum cores. VAS can also process many types of wiring harnesses in-house, enabling the fabrication of jigs and fixtures to test harnesses and delivering highly reliable harnesses to diverse industries.
"We are looking forward to expanding our outreach in the U.S. market through CEI's established reputation and reach," says S. Chidambaranathan, Chief Executive Officer of Vasantha Advanced Systems. "Our advanced electrical manufacturing will be a great benefit to CEI's customers, and we look forward to working together to provide systems and design specialty services to its customers."
CEI's offerings are now available to a wider variety of customers. The brand's cooperation with Vasantha represents an entry into the Indian market and more commercial markets, expanding the capabilities of existing businesses and extending the reach of both firms. By supplying VAS products in the United States, new and existing CEI clients will gain access to more advanced PCB assembly, cost reductions, and system design enhancements. Customers of Vasantha can also benefit from CEI's specialist mica paper capacitors and unique high-voltage components.
The U.S. Commercial Service's (USCS) 2021 New York State Virtual Trade Mission (VTM) to India, in which CEI participated, also enabled discussions leading to the relationship between CEI and Vasantha. Although CEI and VAS had already established a relationship before the VTM, participation in the program provided CEI with extensive market intelligence and advice from an experienced team of U.S. government-industry specialists in India, coordinated by USCS Senior International Trade Specialist Michael Grossman.
“It’s been great working with CEI to help the company understand the complexities of the Indian market,” says Grossman. “Access to international market intelligence is a benefit of working with the U.S. Commercial Service, and this new collaboration is a testament to that.”
CEI's Celektronix offers Vasantha products and services in the United States. Celektronix is a one-stop shop for electronic manufacturing solutions. Celektronix provides design, development, batch production, final assembly, and testing services in addition to its cooperation with VAS.
