According to analysis, the global GPU market is expected to increase at a compound yearly growth rate of 3.4 percent from 625.2 million dollars in 2019 to 952.6 million dollars in 2027.

FREMONT, CA: “PCTI has been a leading GPU provider for decades in one critical sector, and it is time for us to expand into new markets for business and civil aviation,” states Bill Yargeau, President of PCTI. Owing to this, Ozop Energy Solutions (OZSC), a leading manufacturer and distributor of Renewable Energy products, has made known that its wholly-owned subsidiary, Power Conversion Technologies (PCTI), will leverage its 30 years of experience manufacturing ground power units (GPUs) for the civil aerospace market to expand into the commercial and civil aerospace sectors. Since 1991, PCTI has successfully engineered solutions for military customers, and it will now apply that knowledge to the commercial aircraft industry.

“There has been notable growth in these markets due to a rebounding tourism industry and growing consumer spending power in Asia. A travel rebound means more flights with faster turnaround times, which translates to a higher need for GPUs to keep airports running,” added Yargeau.

PCTI’s durable products have a 15-20-year life cycle and are constructed to the highest durability standards. They are designed to withstand extreme environments, extending the time between maintenance cycles. PCTI will supply 400Hz frequency converters and 28VDC power supplies for this product introduction, with a focus on civil and business aircraft GPU requirements.

According to analysis, the global GPU market is expected to increase at a compound yearly growth rate of 3.4 percent from 625.2 million dollars in 2019 to 952.6 million dollars in 2027. This market value is split between mobile and fixed applications, both of which PCTI now produces as customized products.

PCTI has gone over its military surplus and product history to create a consistent portfolio for the commercial aerospace sector. They have devised a detailed strategy for launching their first products in this market. The sales team has already begun informing and training the agents/distributors about the product and its benefits. This will be finished within the next few weeks. PCTI will continue to monitor this market and, if needed, introduce new products.
