MORRIS TOWNSHIP, N.J: Honeywell Resins and Chemicals has announced the launch of a new protective solution, Aegis nylon resin – H55WC, designed to protect cables and electrical wiring used in industrial and consumer products.
Aegis H55WC shields wires and cables from physical and chemical damage. Grease, oil and gas, abrasion, impact and cuts can be the prominent source of damages caused to cables and wires. Being certified by Underwriters Laboratories, it can be used in residential and commercial buildings, machine tools, automobiles, appliances, offshore oil platforms and marine equipment.

By implementing nylon for insulation, Aegis H55WC, allows for greater accommodation of conducting material for greater electrical efficiency. This would certainly help the wire and cable manufacturers in building more efficient products.

Aegis resins are also used in fibers and filaments for carpeting, fabrics, nets and cords as well as engineered plastic components for automotive, consumer and industrial applications. It is also used in films for food and protective packaging.
