SCADA Hardware

SCADA Network

SCADA stations rely massively on communication between the RTUs and PLCs and the centralized mainframe. There may be different kinds of channels on which the interface between the components occurs. Mostly, in modern systems, all the PLCs and RTUs are part of a more extensive system. With the evolution of standardized communication protocols, even components purchased from different vendors can now stay connected. The latest advancements have made it possible to access data collected by the centralized master station via web clients from anywhere in the world. These advancements, however, have also brought about the issue of more significant security risks. Therefore, industries should strive to maintain security levels along with this technological progress.
