A new internet of things solution provides continuous temperature monitoring of remote locations, improving safety and productivity.
FREMONT, CA: The Internet of Things (IoT) aids in the management of transmission line overloads. They contribute to ensuring that all power plants meet frequency and voltage control standards. Additionally, this data on energy consumption might assist businesses in determining where to develop new infrastructure or upgrade current ones. Infrared Cameras Incorporated (ICI) has come up with APEX 200, a new IoT solution that assists industrial and power generation facilities in preventing equipment failure. The APEX 200 monitors temperature continuously, detects hot spots, and sends automated alerts, assisting enterprises in ensuring machines are working at maximum capacity.

“One of the greatest advantages of using thermal imaging cameras is seeing what is invisible to the naked eye,” states Gary Strahan, Chief Executive Officer at ICI. “The APEX 200 is an innovative Process Control thermal imager that provides a large thermal detector with unsurpassed sensitivity when compared to any other product on the market. It can help organizations remain both safe and efficient.”
The APEX 200 is great for difficult-to-reach areas such as vents, manholes, and electrical equipment. The camera supports various interface protocols and is well-suited for Internet of Things (IoT) integrations. Additionally, it features Wi-Fi connectivity, automatic alarms, and real-time video streaming.
The APEX 200 is ideal for difficult-to-reach areas and is advantageous for industrial operations and power generation. It combines thermal imaging (radiometric) and visible light capabilities for fixed mount low light, even enclosed applications.
The APEX 200 is a compact and easy-to-install thermal detector with a built-in 1920 × 1080 visible camera. It is appropriate for a range of fixed-point applications, such as monitoring high-voltage cabinets, gasification reactors, and iron and steel processes.
In addition to NVRs, the APEX 200 supports a wide range of interface protocols. FTP file sharing is supported, as well as SMTP email. It shows the central point, the hot spot, and the cold location. It studies elevated temperatures up to 16 points (16 lines/16 regions). Configuration of alarm thresholds is possible with APEX 200.
