Intellegens releases a machine learning package for Additive Manufacturing.

FREMONT, CA: Intellegens, a provider of deep learning software, enhances its Additive Manufacturing (AM) solution with the launch of a new AlchemiteTM AM Package. The pre-configured bundle of machine learning software, analysis tools, and implementation services is intended to assist AM teams in extracting value from their data, optimizing build parameters, and ensuring more repeatable AM processes, all while significantly reducing the need for testing. The launch of the AlchemiteTM AM Package follows Intellegens' recent success at the American Society of Mechanical Engineers' AM Innovation Awards (ASME).

AlchemiteTM technology from Intellegens is unparalleled in its ability to extract value from sparse and noisy experimental datasets, such as those generated during AM projects. These projects aim to understand better the subtle interactions between material properties, machine parameters, and operating conditions that affect the consistency and performance of additive manufacturing parts. This understanding enables parts to be manufactured more quickly, delivering on AM's promise of more flexible delivery of more robust, lighter manufactured products.

AlchemiteTM's potential as a game-changer in additive manufacturing development was recognized in June at ASME's AM Tech Forum, where Intellegens won both the Best-in-Class Software and Startup Innovation Awards. Intellegens was chosen from over forty organizations that presented technical solutions, with the final decision being made by an expert judging panel in conjunction with event attendees' votes.

AlchemiteTM has been validated in various customer projects and as part of Project MEDAL, an additive manufacturing collaboration between the UK Advanced Manufacturing Research Centre and global aerospace giant Boeing, funded by the National Aerospace Technology Exploitation Program (NATEP). Intellegens collaborates with engineering simulation leader Ansys to integrate AlchemiteTM into its AM data management solution.

The AlchemiteTM AM Package builds on this body of knowledge. It provides the optimal combination of software and expert advice to ensure that new user organizations quickly get up and running with machine learning-accelerated AM processes.

“We were delighted to be recognized by the ASME additive manufacturing community,” comments Ben Pellegrini, CEO of Intellegens. “This is yet more evidence of the growing interest in applying our technology to AM. We are responding by ensuring that our product and service portfolio is optimized to enable a fast start as we onboard more AM customers.”
