Librestream has added Microsoft Teams to enhance the industrial workforce and develop knowledge networks to create more efficient, safe, and resilient workforces.

FREMONT, CA: Librestream, the top-rated augmented reality (AR) platform for industrial worker collaboration, has added Microsoft Teams to improve the extension of its abilities. Librestream collaborates with Teams to enhance the industrial workforce and develop knowledge networks to create more efficient, safe, and resilient workforces.

Librestream's Onsight collaboration solution is designed for the 2.7 billion people who operate without a desk. "Deskless workers, which make up 80 percent of the global working population, have unique challenges requiring specialized solutions. The solutions that perform for office workers are not the same for those working in industrial environments, yet increasingly, these workers must cross-collaborate. Integrating with Teams bridges this gap," said John Bishop, Librestream President, and CEO.

The Onsight solution from Librestream meets industrial needs such as:

  • Images, audio, data, and step-by-step work instructions are curated and delivered from a centralized location.
  • Full collaboration with audio, video, images, and drawing across every industrial environment that needs only 30 kbps.
  • To reduce cognitive load, automatic object recognition with trained computer vision models is used.
  • Customized experience with back-end system integration and private label choices.
  • Customized privacy acceptance and content capture controls are used to enforce privacy.
  • For future evaluation and delivery, auto-tagged content using Optical Character Recognition (OCR) and data from third-party systems.
  • There are hosted and on-premises installation options available.
  • Workers can launch an Onsight session from within Teams, giving them instant access to the entire Onsight collaboration experience.
  • Integration into current IoT data sources to display data that notifies and guides workers.

"This combined offering is a step forward for the industrial workforce," said Daniel Canning, director, Microsoft Teams Platform at Microsoft. "The addition of Librestream Onsight's specialized capabilities increases the value we deliver to current customers and expands the number of people that can utilize Teams."

Librestream has a track record of collaborating with Microsoft on successful projects that include integrating the Onsight platform with Microsoft Azure, Dynamics 365, edge computing, and HoloLens 2.
