Collaborations with Dragos and CrowdStrike, as well as the establishment of a new Cybersecurity Operations Center, enable Rockwell clients to take a more proactive approach to cybersecurity, encompassing the whole attack continuum before, during, and after an event.
FREMONT, CA: Convergence of information technology (IT) and operational technology (OT) is a guiding principle of smart manufacturing. OT is frequently used to refer to the control and automation technologies that support operations, which have generally been kept distinct from IT. Rockwell Automation, Inc., the world's largest company dedicated to industrial automation and digital transformation, has invested in strengthening its cybersecurity offering for IT and OT, providing customers with the protection they require in today's hazardous environment.

“Implementing strong cybersecurity is no longer a best practice, but a must do,” states Rachael Conrad, Vice President and General Manager of Global Services at Rockwell Automation. “For manufacturers, protection starts with a rock-solid foundation of OT expertise. That’s why we’re doubling down on our cybersecurity investment to build the most robust, specialized IT/OT cybersecurity offering in the market.”
These projects are strategic collaborations with Dragos, Inc., CrowdStrike, and a new Cybersecurity Operations Center in Israel. The collaboration will be focused on incident response and threat intelligence. By combining their expertise, the two companies will accelerate clients' ability to identify and remediate a cybersecurity attack by offering more robust incident response services. Additionally, Rockwell and Dragos experts will collaborate on a threat intelligence stream.
“Our investment and partnership with Dragos will help our industrial automation customers achieve their connected enterprise by providing a safe and secure OT infrastructure,” adds Conrad. “As the frequency and severity of cybersecurity threats continue to rise in our industry, it’s critical that automation leaders partner with cybersecurity leaders to share expertise and co-innovate on ways to protect our customers.”
Rockwell and CrowdStrike, a market leader in cloud-delivered endpoint and workload protection, have partnered to provide customers with end-to-end cybersecurity and network services solutions. The alliance will look at ways to combine CrowdStrike's cloud-native, AI-powered Falcon platform with Rockwell's worldwide deployment, network architecture, support, operations, and managed services capabilities to create distinctive cybersecurity solutions that address client pain points.
“Rockwell’s partnership with CrowdStrike enables us to provide fully integrated, end-to-end industrial security services and solutions across the entire customer cybersecurity journey, from threat detection through response and recovery from cyber incidents. Combining CrowdStrike’s leading endpoint protection platform with Rockwell’s broad array of integrated security products and services will allow our customers access to the most comprehensive security approach in the marketplace,”Conrad concludes.
With the development of a Cybersecurity Operations Center in Israel, Rockwell continues to strengthen its global capabilities. The center, located in Tel Aviv's Metropolitan Area, launched on Nov. 1 and is focused on remote cybersecurity services for Rockwell's global customer base. It provides increased cybersecurity managed services as part of Rockwell's current global network, including 15 additional remote service centers.
