Creo EZ Tolerance Analysis Extension by Sigmetrix, is an advanced 1D analysis tool that can help engineers and designers in determining 1D tolerance stackups.

FREMONT, CA: Sigmetrix, a PTC partner, has launched its newest Creo solution named Creo EZ Tolerance Analysis Extension. It is an innovative and advanced 1D-analysis tool that allows engineers and designers to define multiple 1D tolerance in PTC Creo.

Creo Analysis Extension is designed to simplify, create, manage, and report upon several 1D-tolerance analysis in an assembly. Creo EZ Tolerance Analysis Extension enables users to build the analysis directly with PTC Creo by automatically linking to existing tolerance information that may exist in the files, guaranteeing changes made within the Creo EZ Tolerance, and automatically updating the source data. It makes manual loop definition extremely simple through the combined usage of temporarily hiding parts and makes others transparent to help understand the context of the selection.

Creo EZ Tolerance Analysis Extension automatically calculates the worst-case, RSS, and statistical results of the analysis. Metrics for the statistical results can be reported as Cpk, DPMO, Sigma, or percent yield. It helps to list contributors to different variations classified from largest to smallest.

Creo EZ, obtains a summary table showing the objectives and results of each stack up analysis along with a visual indication of whether the requirement is met. It also indicates that the tolerance stack up may not be 1-D in nature including a note that the results provided may underestimate the actual variation that will occur during production.

Sigmetrix launched Creo EZ Analysis Extension in Xtropolis, at the Boston Exhibition and Convention Center, where Sigmetrix was also a sponsor. James Stoddard, President of Sigmetrix says "Most design engineers don't need to use a tolerance analysis tool every week or even every month, so we are constantly striving to make the software as easy to use as possible." Sigmetrix was recognized as one of the Top 10 Solidworks Solution Providers 2019 by Manufacturing Technology Insights.
