Ultimaker has established and thoroughly tested material profiles to assure that PETG printing on their 3D printers is simple and dependable. According to Ultimakers' 2021 3D Printing Sentiment Index, PETG, a Glycol Modified form of Polyethylene Terephthalate (PET), is among the top three materials utilized for 3D printing.
Ultimaker PETG is wear, temperature, and chemical resistant, making it ideal for industrial applications, a developing market as more organizations turn to 3D printing to develop production tools, according to Ultimaker research.
Through NFC recognition, the material integrates easily into the company's environment and sets the benchmark for industrial application. In addition, the material's use, adaptability, and scalability make it simple to implement across enterprises, resulting in fewer material changes and higher productivity.
PVA and Breakaway support are also compatible with the material, allowing for a wide range of models. Its users will also have access to a comprehensive set of technical, safety, and regulatory information.
The focus of change-makers has shifted to production tools. Engineers worldwide were inspired by the pandemic to employ 3D printing to alter and invent game-changing application cases. Ultimaker PETG's adaptability and standardized use will only encourage more innovation across industries.
"Adding Ultimaker PETG to our set of standard materials is a natural next step from the launch of our platform. It enhances our material portfolio as industrial use cases for 3D printing continue to rise. Its excellent all-round properties are a strong addition to our platform and are ideal for typical industrial environments and applications," said Miguel Calvo, CTO at Ultimaker. "Ultimaker PETG will further fuel creativity and innovation as users work hard to ensure the continuation of production and everyday life, despite the external challenges we have all faced."
