Established in 2003, SEM Matic is a group of company specializing in Ultra Precision Manufacturing. Its core business focus is on the manufacturing of precision turn parts and machine precision components.

SEM Matic is the brainchild of three individuals from different countries. It got the technical knowledge and experience from Swiss, equipment, and funding from British, and strategy planning from Malaysian. The company started its journey with a tiny and precise watch part. Throughout the years, it has accumulated and learned key machining skills and technical know-how. The extensive experience has enabled the company to emerge as a total manufacturing solution provider—from the design stage to the delivery stage—across the globe. The company is today equipped with more than 300 units of CAM, and more than 250 units of CNC machines, as well as 100 units of grinding machines. “We now have more than ten manufacturing plants to support our production for 20 years, Diameter from 0.1 mm to 100mm products,” Mr. Sam Law, the CEO of SEM Matic.

SEM Matic’s precision manufacturing services include manufacturing of precision turned parts and machine precision components, design, and fabrication of cam sets and tooling, surface treatment, and plating, to name a few. It also offers secondary processes such as the hardening process and a wide variety of surface finishing processes like passivation, electropolishing, and many more. More importantly, while offering all these services, the company always avoids a price-war strategy to ensure maximum value for clients.

With the implementation of strict quality control procedures and the quality management system developed in-house, SEM Matic continuously improves the productivity and the quality of its products. Also, the latest and advanced measuring equipment plays a vital role in ensuring that the company has the ability to confirm and control the quality.

Keeping pace with industry 4.0, SEM Matic has developed automated processes to increase cost and time efficiency. In fact, in its ceramic machining plant, the company has already reduced the manpower from previously 70 people to only ten persons.

On top of that, for another project— machining a zinc casted frame—SEM Matic also implemented an automation system to reduce the manpower rate and improve the productivity of the particular product.

To put things into perspective, one of SEM Matic’s major customers was worried about the material selection which would suit their product functionality.

To this end, the company counter proposed on the material selection and assisted the client through the whole project while working with them very closely. Due to its professional project team, SEM Matic was able to fulfill the client’s requirements by enhancing its functionality and durability. This also reduced the overall product price without sacrificing quality.

SEM Matic’s group CEO and senior management always uphold a business plan to sustain the development. This has allowed the company to stay ahead of the competition. The business plan starts with SEM Matic establishing a good and feasible plan to get funded and then recruiting capable people to make its operations system better and even more productive.
