THANK YOU FOR SUBSCRIBING

In a world grappling with climate change concerns and new ESG metrics, XNRGY Climate Systems emerges as a beacon of hope for building owners and consultants seeking innovation, energy efficiency and quality.
XNRGY’s custom air-handling products have been conceived and developed over the last few years to integrate time-tested principles of custom air handler design with the latest controls, motor and air movement technologies. According to the company’s founders, XNRGY is meeting emerging challenges by reinventing climate solutions technology and setting new standards for product quality and operational performance.
“We are not just another mechanical equipment manufacturer,” says Yves Leduc, who was recently tapped as Chief Operating Officer of XNRGY Climate Systems. “Our solutions thrive on continuous innovation to reduce floor space, power usage, water usage, carbon footprint, and lead time, as well as improve energy efficiency.”
XNRGY offers outside air systems and custom air handlers incorporating energy recovery technologies, cooling (DX), heating coils, fans, and humidification systems. Thermal break construction and special materials like injected foam panels using recyclable aluminum, and stainless steel are designed to meet demanding specifications.
The company sells premium air handling systems across North America from its head office in Montreal through a hand-picked network of qualified expert representatives. Its cutting-edge, sustainable air treatment systems include XNRGY Xn Damper and XNRGY Xn Fan Array.
XNRGY Xn Damper prevents air recirculation in the event of a fan shutdown. It does not require velocity pressure to open as the blades are vertically oriented on independent bearings which allow operation with little resistance or pressure drop.

XNRGY Xn Fan Array is composed of multiple XnFans in the form of a matrix. They have been re-designed by XNRGY engineers using the latest technology in fan wheel design and advanced controls which modulate the array configuration. All components, including motor and drive sections, work seamlessly within the array to ensure maximum efficiency and low noise and vibration at all operating speeds.

At the core of XNRGY’s offerings are systems tailored to cater to key customer segments which span hyper scale and modular data centers, healthcare facilities, clean rooms, arenas, and life sciences facilities.

To ensure performance in critical environments, XNRGY harnesses the power of technologies like building information modeling (BIM) and computational fluid dynamics (CFD). Analyzing ISO vectors and pressure distribution, XNRGY Applications Engineers devise systems which operate at peak efficiency, preventing transient performance failures. This minimizes power consumption and maximizes airflow, making significant contributions to LEED, NET ZERO and other ESG initiatives and requirements.
Delivering a Wealth of Expertise
Established by Wais Jalali, the CEO, XNRGY began its journey with a nimble core team of industry insiders with decades of experience who later expanded the workforce to include plant supervisors, 3d drafters, specialized machine operators, mechanical/electrical assemblers, IT personnel, and HR executives with a knack for recruiting.
Today, the 275-person staff exemplifies a blend of innovative thinking, effective execution, decision-making autonomy, and exceptional talent. The executive team which includes five former CEO’s collectively has over 500 years of experience in engineering, custom air handler sales, manufacturing, and intellectual property development in fluid dynamics.
Their combined efforts drive the company’s early success and rapid revenue growth reinforce its position as an industry leader.
Reducing the Carbon Footprint of Building Owners
The biggest differentiators for XNRGY are its low-cost highly automated manufacturing processes and ability to align its value proposition tailored to the evolving market conditions. Some of the benefits to building owners are intangible such as meeting mortgage lenders’ new requirements for ESG, reducing carbon footprint and electricity consumption.
The HVAC systems market segment is shifting its focus to reducing power consumption, minimizing the carbon footprint of buildings, and conserving water resources. Governments are also undertaking significant initiatives to create behaviors in this area including The CHIPS and Science Act, and the Inflation Reduction Act (IRA) of 2022.
These changes are creating a way for XNRGY to gain market share and become a leader in the industry.
XNRGY’s exceptional capabilities are backed by numerous case studies which showcase the effectiveness of its solutions. From a major fan replacement project at an office tower in Oregon to low dewpoint applications at a famous hockey arena using field-assembled units, XNRGY has catered to diverse client needs. XNRGY has also helped many organizations in the healthcare sector to save electricity and floor space in the mechanical rooms. Its solutions for data centers offer more efficient power usage effectiveness (PUE) and water use efficiency (WUE).
Innovative Equipment Design and Manufacturing Approach
At the core of XNRGY’s success is its approach to equipment design and manufacturing. It takes a vertically integrated approach and custom manufactures the sub-components. This allows control of all aspects of its solutions. For example, by meticulously reducing the friction element of air movement in their systems, it effectively reduces power consumption. XNRGY also uses fewer materials and embraces recyclability in manufacturing operations to reduce carbon footprint and promote sustainability. The urge for relentless innovation and continuous growth is embedded in its DNA.
Thanks to its seasoned management team, XNRGY has secured financing for the Arizona plant, which when completed in late 2024 will be two and a half times larger than its Montreal site.
“As an architect, it’s exciting to work with a client like XNRGY who is pushing the industry forward.” Explains Jeffrey Maas, Project Director and Southwest Critical Facilities Lead with Gensler Phoenix. “XNRGY’s sustainable approach aligns with Gensler’s commitment of a zero-carbon impact portfolio by 2030.
