While working as a professor, George Zheng was focused on the research of Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) testing and fault diagnosis for a long time. After years of knowledge accumulation, he decided to devote himself to the career of “being a doctor for equipment”—diagnosing the “illness” (faults) for mechanical equipment. This motivation drove him to leave the university and found Yateks—a leader in the NDT field—in 2003.

Since day one, Yateks has been focusing on the R&D, production, and sales of industrial video borescopes. The video borescopes that the company produces are mainly 2mm-6mm, 360° arbitrary bending, covering many industries such as automotive, aviation, casting, and so on. Yateks also provides oil analysis instruments. When there is a need to monitor the lubricating oil and hydraulic oil, the company’s online sensor is a great tool that can monitor the viscosity, density, moisture, particles, and dielectric constant in real-time and triggers its alarm when the detection result is over the threshold. “All these are done without human monitoring at the site. When the users receives the alarms, they can send people to take oil samples or analyse onsite portable instruments,” mentions Mr. Zheng.

The oil analysis instruments Yateks offer include Ferrous Debris Monitor, Ferrography, Particle Counter, and Quick Oil Condition Analyzer etc. for wear debris analysis or pollution degree analysis.
